SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE

A compact architecture for parallel measurements and multiplexed routing

The CSX-64 combines parallel electrochemical measurement channels with flexible signal routing and adapter-ready front-end integration. This makes it suitable for biosensor arrays, multi-electrode fixtures, multi-well formats and scalable test setups.

Hybrid topologies

PARALLEL + SEQUENTIAL

Scalable routing without changing system architecture

Whether the setup requires parallel electrochemical channels, sequential routing through a 64-port network, or a combination of both, the CSX-64 provides a flexible architecture for complex biosensor and multi-electrode measurement setups.

Modular front-end

SC98-READY

Adapter-ready integration for chips, plates and fixtures

The SC98 interface allows the CSX-64 to connect to custom microfluidic chips, standard multi-well plates, sensor adapters, and automated component-test environments without changing the underlying measurement platform.

Unified methods

EIS, CV, EIT, LCR

One software environment for different measurement workflows

Electrochemical and impedance-based methods can be operated through one coherent hardware and software architecture, reducing setup complexity across experimental, development, and test workflows.

OEM INTEGRATION

From Prototype to Product —
A Platform that Scales

The CSX-64 doesn’t just power research — it lays the foundation for real-world innovation. Whether you start with a single electrode in a petri dish or a basic benchtop assay, the CSX-64 gives you the infrastructure to grow and keep growing.

Add more channels, swap sensors, move between electrode configurations, or split the system between experimental setups. With its SC98 modular front-end and open architecture, transitioning between use cases is precise and fully supported.

And when it’s time to move from prototype to product, we help migrate your CSX-64 setup into a custom OEM solution. Dedicated electronics, tailored firmware, and application-specific front-ends: the foundation stays the same, the product becomes your own.

Individual FAQ

Short technical answers to the questions we hear most often about the CSX-64.

Which electrode configurations does the CSX-64 support?

The CSX-64 supports 2-, 3- and 4-electrode configurations on every channel. You can run classic multipotentiostat setups, sequential multiplexing, and true polypotentiostat configurations with a shared reference — without rewiring the front end.

The SC98 interface gives you plug-and-play modularity: swap sensor adapters in seconds, decouple sensors from the device (e.g. inside an incubator), attach custom front-ends, or migrate setups between CSX, ISX-3 and other Sciospec systems.

Yes. The 8 parallel channels can be routed through smart internal multiplexing across 64 configurable ports — letting you scan sensor arrays, batch assays or expanded experiment matrices without external relay hardware.

Dedicated apps for EIS, CV and LCR ship with the platform, plus support for impedance tomography (EIT) and other electroanalytical techniques on the proven Sciospec modular platform.
