EIS and EIT.
One instrument,

The ISX-3 measurement core, plus a real EIT engine
The ISX-3 EIT combines a full ISX-3 frontend with a highly flexible any-to-any multiplexer and a dedicated EIT mode — so the same instrument runs single-point EIS, multi-port multiplexed EIS and EIT frames without changing setup.
Full ISX-3 core
EIS PERFORMANCE
Lab-grade impedance spectroscopy as the measurement core
The ISX-3 EIT keeps the full ISX-3 IF frontend: 100 mHz to 10 MHz (extendable to 40 or 100 MHz), 2/3/4-electrode configurations, up to 2048 frequencies per sweep, 0.01 % base precision and ± 1 V DC bias. EIS performance is identical to a standalone ISX-3.
Any-to-any EIT-MUX
32 OR 64 PORTS
Highly flexible multiplexer for arbitrary electrode arrangements
An integrated any-to-any multiplexer with 32 or 64 ports lets every port be assigned to any role in 2-, 3- or 4-electrode impedance measurements — and switches between role assignments per frame for dedicated EIT injection patterns.
EIT mode + reconstruction
TIME- & FREQUENCY-DIFFERENCE EIT
Built-in EIT mode with software for image reconstruction
A dedicated EIT mode runs the injection matrix as channel sweeps per frame. Ships with Sciospec software for time- and frequency-difference EIT image reconstruction, plus MATLAB code so you can import your data straight into EIDORS.

Where the ISX-3 EIT fits in
Wherever EIS and EIT need to live on the same bench — phantom studies, biomedical bioimpedance, process tomography, organ-on-chip and EIT algorithm research — the ISX-3 EIT replaces two separate instruments with one configurable platform.
EIT phantom studies & method development
Combine standard or custom EIT phantom tanks with the integrated 32/64-port any-to-any MUX for reconstruction algorithm development, electrode-pattern studies and teaching.
Bioimpedance & process EIT
Multiplexed EIS + dedicated EIT in one instrument — for biomedical bioimpedance, process tomography and industrial monitoring where you need both methods on the same setup.
Organ-on-chip & barrier integrity
TEER and barrier-integrity studies on arrayed wells benefit from any-to-any port assignment with the same instrument used by groups developing modular EIT systems.
Algorithm research & EIDORS workflows
Ships with time- and frequency-difference EIT reconstruction software, plus MATLAB code so research groups can import data directly into EIDORS.

Individual FAQ
Short technical answers to the questions we hear most often about the ISX-3 EIT.
What's the difference between the ISX-3 and the ISX-3 EIT?
The ISX-3 EIT is a full ISX-3 plus a highly flexible any-to-any multiplexer with 32 or 64 ports and a dedicated EIT mode that runs the injection matrix as channel sweeps per frame. EIS performance is identical to a standalone ISX-3.
Can it run both EIS and EIT on the same setup?
How are EIT images reconstructed?
How many electrode ports does it support?
32 or 64 ports, configurable at order time. Any port can be assigned to any role (injection, measurement, reference) in 2-, 3- or 4-electrode impedance.
What frequency range and precision does it offer?
100 mHz to 10 MHz standard, extendable to 40 MHz or 100 MHz. Up to 2048 frequencies per sweep, 0.01 % base precision and ± 1 V DC bias — identical electrical performance to the ISX-3 core.
How is it controlled and automated?
