Up to 8 fully-featured IF channels per ISX-5 chassis run synchronously or independently, each with its own frequency list, amplitude and DC bias. Multiple analysis ports can share a single excitation source for advanced electrode arrangements.

How many parallel channels does an ISX-5 chassis support?
Up to 8 fully-featured impedance channels per chassis, running synchronously or independently with per-channel parameters.
How do I get more than 8 channels?
Two ways. Combine each parallel channel with a 2nd-channel, 32-ch or 64-ch MUX — that scales a single chassis up to 512 measurement channels. Or cascade multiple ISX-5 chassis via the sync in/out connectors.
What frequency range and precision does it offer?
100 mHz to 10 MHz standard, extendable to 40 MHz or 100 MHz. Up to 2048 frequencies per sweep, 0.01 % base precision and ± 1 V DC bias — identical electrical performance to the ISX-3 core.
Can different channels run different sweeps at the same time?
Yes. Each channel has its own frequency list, amplitude and DC bias, and channels can run either synchronously or asynchronously. Multiple analysis ports can also share a single excitation source.
Does the ISX-5 support nonlinear EIS?
Yes. Nonlinear impedance spectroscopy is supported on the ISX-5 platform as one of its measurement methods.
